Pokhara-


Pokhara is situated in the northwestern corner of the Pokhara valley. It is the headquarter of kaski district, gandaki zone and the western development region. It is a remarkable place of natural beauty situated at an altitude of 827m from the sea level and 200km west of Kathmandu valley. Pokhara has the peaceful lakeside location and proximity to the Annpurna mountain range. There are various places of tourist interest in and around Pokhara city. The population of the city is of around 95,000 and has several beautiful lakes and offers stunning panoramic views of Himalayan. Pokhara’s climate is slightly warmer than Kathmandu with daytime temperature hovering around 15 degrees Celsius in winter and 35 degrees in summer. The two main district known as Damside and Lakeside attracts the most the visitors for exploring the adventure.

How to Approach there
Air : Well connected by international Airprt in Kathmandu. This is the only international airport in the Kathmandu.
By Road : Kathmandu has well and cheap bus service to nearly all parts of Nepal. Connections include India and other parts of Nepal are there.

Places to visit


Phewa Tal
Phewa lake is 1.5 km long and is the second largest lake of Nepal. One can explore the excellent view of mountains and their reflection on the lake. You can relax here by taking the great meal and enjoying the scenery here. This lake is an enchanted play ground and a traveler can brightly painted wooden boats and sailboats on rent for enjoying in the lake.

Begnas lake and Rupa lake
Begnas lake and Rupa lake are situated about 15km from Pokhara at the end of a road that turns north from the highway to Kathmandu. It has the diversity by the forested hillock called Panchabhaiya Danda. The perfect nature look can be retreated by the lakes and boating as well as fishing can be accomplished here.

Barahi temple
Barahi Temple is one of the most sacred religious monuments in Pokhara. It is situated in the middle of Phewa lake and the two storied pagoda is dedicated to the boar manifestation of Ajima. The protectors deity is exploring the female force Shakti. Especially on Saturdays one can see the devotees, with male animals and fowl across the lake to be sacrificed to the deity.

Davis Fall
Davis a unique waterfall, is situated 2 km far apart from the Pokhara city. The waterfall goes into directly into a narrow canal without end. There is a story behind the name of this waterfall that a tourist named David fell down into the canal and newer found, so it is named as Devis in the memory by the Pokhara’s peoples.

Gupteswar Gupha
Gupteswar Gupha is a holy cave that lies 2 km from Pokhara airport on the Siddhartha Highway upmoving southwest from the city. The entrance is right across from Devi's Fall and the cave is near about 3 km long. The cave has some big hall-size rooms and some passages where every tourist have to crawl on all fours. Gupteswar cave have the special value for Hindus since a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva. And its is preserved here in the condition it was found.

Seti Gandki
Seti Gandki is flowing through the city and goes completely underground at places. The place from where this river is coming out, is hardly two meter wide but the depth of it’s is beyond imagination. It is saids for the river Seti Gandki that the entire Pokhara floats on the Seti river. Rivers in Nepal are known for their strength and the purity and they get complete source from the Himalayan range.
