as Keoladeo National Park is situated in Bharatpur
district of Rajasthan. Keoladeo National Park is
also famous as Bharatpur bird sanctuary. It is
called the home for the birds and the paradise of
birds, with over 380 resident and migrant species of
birds, including the Common, Demoiselle and the rare
Siberian Cranes. This National Park is also an
curious and fantastic place to spot mammals like
Golden Jackal, Jungle Cat, Striped Hyaena, Sambar,
Fishing Cat, Nilgai, Blackbuck and wild Boar.
Keoladeo National Park got the pride to become a
National Park in 1981. The name Keoladeo has been
derived from a nearby ancient Hindu temple, devoted
to Lord Shiva.
Keoladeo Ghana National Park, well known as
Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, is India's best bird
sanctuary lies in the Rajasthan. The area covered by
the park is near about 28.7 square kilometer with
the blend wetland, woodland, grass and scrub that is
the shelter of almost 400 plus species of birds.
Bharatpur lies on the Agra Jaipur highway road and
is a pleasant drive of 3 hours from the capital as
the 176 km from the Delhi. Keoladeo is itself a
Ramsar and world famous heritage site.

Bhratpur. Lohagarh Fort is the other excellent glorious historical monuments
that can be explored here which remained invincible despite several attacks by
the British. This fort is very strong and massive which was the summer resort of
the rulers of Bharatpur and has many palaces and gardens.
