Paintings

Literature
India has a great work in the field of the literature through its Upnishads,
Vedas, Gita and Ramayana etc. The every major language of India has its own
tradition and culture as well as its way of expression. Raja Rao, Kamala
Markandaya, Nirad C. Chaudhuri, R.K. Narayan, Mulk Raj Anand, Manohar Malgonkar,
Amitav Ghosh and many others has been written in English also. The prestigious
Booker Prize of 1997 went to Arundhati Roy for her maiden novel "The God of
Small Things". India has shaped great works of literature from the Vedas and
Upanishads. Almost every foremost Indian language has an affluent practice of
literature.
Sangeet Natak Academy
Sangeet Natak Academy was founded in 1953, the national academy of music, dance
and drama. It plays an important role of supporting study, broadcasting,
admiration and benefaction of the performing arts.
